Rebecca D. Elswick
Rebecca D. Elswick , the daughter and granddaughter of coal miners, lives in Grundy, Virginia with her husband, three children and four dogs. Her fiction has appeared in journals and anthologies, among them the Literary Journal of the Virginia Writing Project, Jimnson Weed, and A Cup of Comfort for Dog Lovers II. In 2010 she won first and third place in the Appalachian Authors Guild short story contest. She has completed her first novel Mama's Shoes and is currently at work on her second novel.
